After many years, girls box lacrosse returned to the Clarington and it has continued to grow stronger each season.

As we head into the 2026 season, we are proud to announce the continued growth of our girls box program with U13 and U15 girls box teams. This expansion reflects the commitment, passion, and talent within our athletes and families, and the momentum behind girls lacrosse in Clarington.

Girls Lacrosse in Clarington for the 2026 Season

Representative Box Teams - U13 and U15

Program Goal: We are excited to announce our plan to offer Girls Rep Box Lacrosse in Clarington for the 2026 season, bringing more opportunities for young athletes to compete and grow in the sport.
Cost: The season fee is estimated at approximately $500 - $700.
Season Timeline: The season will run from early April through early August, ending with the Ontario Provincial Championships in Whitby.
Weekly Commitment: Teams typically participate in two activities per week—a practice and a game. We also anticipate entering one or two weekend tournaments to enhance competition and development.
Game Days: Games are generally scheduled on weekday evenings.
Game Locations: Most games will be held against nearby centres, including Whitby, Oshawa, and Peterborough. Additional travel may be required for matchups against other girls' teams.
Tryouts: Tryouts will take place in early 2026. Exact dates, times, and locations will be posted soon.
"Try Lacrosse" Sessions: We plan to host some FREE "Try Lacrosse" sessions—a perfect introduction for new players. Details will be posted.
Girls-Only Skills Nights: We hope to offer girls-only lacrosse skills nights in 2026. Stay tuned for more information!

Representative and House League Field Teams

Program Status: At this time the CMLA does not have programming available to compete in the Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse (OWFL) or internal House League. As such, we recommend that interested players reach out to either the Lady Blue Knights (Oshawa, ON) or Kawartha Lacrosse (Peterborough, ON), both of which offer established women’s field lacrosse programs.
- Note: While CMLA currently does not provide field lacrosse programming, all players and families must ensure they comply with the relevant Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA), Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League (OMFLL), and Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse (OWFL) release and residency policies. Following the appropriate procedures and timelines is critical to a successful and seamless season. House League

Our House League box program is a fun, co-ed environment and a great introduction to lacrosse for both girls and boys. Designed to be less competitive, it features minimal contact and a low time commitment.

Practice and Game Schedule: Practices are held on weekday evenings, and games take place on Saturdays (subject to change for 2025). All games are currently held in Clarington.
Cost: $300 for the season.
