Curious about lacrosse? Try Lax at The Yard is a FREE opportunity for new players to experience Canada’s national summer sport in a fun, welcoming environment.
This program is designed for first-time players and those who want to give lacrosse a try with no pressure and no commitment. Our coaches and volunteers will introduce the basics of the game through simple drills, movement, and lots of fun.
Who Can Participate
New and beginner players
No prior lacrosse experience required
Open to all genders
What to Bring
Participants should come ready to move and have fun. Please bring:
CSA-approved helmet with full cage
Running shoes
A positive attitude and a big smile
If your child already has a lacrosse stick, feel free to bring it along. If not, no problem at all, we will have plenty of sticks available for players to use during the session.

Family Day – Monday, February 16, 2026 from 8:00–10:00 a.m.
Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 9:00–11:00 a.m.

Although Try Lax is free, all participants must register in advance through our online registration system.This allows us to ensure proper supervision, equipment availability, and insurance coverage
