Curious about lacrosse? Try Lax at The Yard is a FREE opportunity for new players to experience Canada’s national summer sport in a fun, welcoming environment.


This program is designed for first-time players and those who want to give lacrosse a try with no pressure and no commitment. Our coaches and volunteers will introduce the basics of the game through simple drills, movement, and lots of fun.


Who Can Participate

  • New and beginner players

  • No prior lacrosse experience required

  • Open to all genders


What to Bring

Participants should come ready to move and have fun. Please bring:

  • CSA-approved helmet with full cage

  • Running shoes

  • A positive attitude and a big smile

If your child already has a lacrosse stick, feel free to bring it along. If not, no problem at all, we will have plenty of sticks available for players to use during the session.


Dates & Times

  • Family Day – Monday, February 16, 2026 from 8:00–10:00 a.m.

  • Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 9:00–11:00 a.m.

Although Try Lax is free, all participants must register in advance through our online registration system.This allows us to ensure proper supervision, equipment availability, and insurance coverage

Spooky season is officially underway, and we’re excited to invite all our Gaels to our Second Annual Halloween Scrimmage happening this week! Bring your costumes, gear, and get ready for some Halloween fun at the UOIT Traphouse Turf (80 Conlin Road West, Oshawa — the dome on the north side of Conlin Road) on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.

In accordance the CMLA By-laws, discussion and voting at the AGM are limited to the business set out in the official notice of meeting and published agenda. Members were invited to submit written proposals or agenda items for inclusion in the notice of meeting no later than October 7, 2025, in accordance with the CMLA By-laws. No member submissions were received by the deadline, and there is no outstanding old business from previous AGM. 

As a result, the 2025 AGM will proceed strictly in accordance with the published agenda, and no new business will be introduced or discussed during the meeting unless expressly permitted under the By-laws. This ensures that all members receive fair notice and the opportunity to form a reasoned judgment on the matters before the membership.
